COVID-19 Response, June 2020

As of June 24th there were 29,141 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Dominican Republic with 698 deaths.  President Danilo Medina has implemented a national curfew between 8 PM and 5 AM and all public gatherings have been suspended.  Masks are required in public places.  Medical supplies are hard to come by during these troubling times.  Hospitals are overwhelmed.  With the help of our donors and our shipping partner, Embarque Colonial, ProJecto was able to send masks to the hospital in the Town of Villa Trina in Moca, DR.  We were also able to secure masks for the Village of Los Aguacates the village ProJecto volunteers labored to rebuild several years ago.  Please be safe during this global pandemic.  Observe social distancing guidelines and wear a face covering when out in public.   With His help, we will get through this!
