Our summer 2014 journey continued with visits to three fire departments on the Dominican Republic north coast where we furnished equipment generously donated by our supporters in Miami. With helmets, boots, nozzles, hoses and other basic firefighting necessities in hand, we called upon fire stations in Licey al Medio, Luperon and Villa Tapia. These small departments were in desperate need of these tools of the trade, and while we left each firehouse better equipped than when we arrived, there is still more work to be done.
