The Bahamian island of Eleuthera lies 50 miles east of the capital city of Nassau. While The Bahamas is a developing nation dependent on tourism to keep its economy moving, about 10% of the population is below the poverty line. The island chain’s fire service remains underfunded. The 15 volunteers on Eleuthera had inadequate protective gear to perform their jobs properly. Thanks to our friends at Fire-Tec, those volunteers have 27 additional bunker coats, 15 bunker pants, 18 pairs of gloves, helmets and 2 axes. Thank you and thank God for allowing us to help these young firefighters.
